If you have kids, you probably already know that cotton T-shirts are the best kids’ clothing to purchase. You will be surprised how many brands claim to be the best kid clothing, but it is very rare to find a real cotton tee that truly lives up to these claims. The truth is that most cotton tee shirts on the market today are not made with the same quality cotton you would find in shirts for adults.
Cotton is the perfect material for making children’s clothes. The breathable properties of cotton allow them to be washed often, and they dry very quickly. As parents we know this is the truth, so why do we continue to buy inferior shirts for our children?
You may be shocked to find out that even some of the big names in the industry will try to sell you on cotton products as “vintage” products. If you ask, they will tell you that the shirt was made 100 years ago and therefore is worthy of a high price. It never occurred to them that people were buying old cotton tee shirts when they were just starting out in the business. They thought people wouldn’t buy vintage clothes any more, or that the value would be much lower than the newer products.
They failed to see that when the new people bought older clothing, the label was stamped, the new clothes were much more durable, and the quality was much higher. So, where did the labels from the same clothes go? No one was selling them!
Some of the new companies started doing the same thing. They would sell you a brand name clothing item from a period before the company became a global powerhouse. Unfortunately, this means that the value of the clothing is so much lower than the newer clothes.
It also means that there is no real guarantee that the t-shirt you bought will last the same way as a new shirt. The only way you can be sure that your clothing will be as good as the next person’s is to buy it at the same place where you buy your apparel. This is one place where new apparel is not worth the price you pay.
If you want to purchase your children comfortable cotton t-shirts, you need to shop from the same place you shop for everything else. When you buy a new shirt, you are usually getting a quality product that will last through many washes. Purchasing a new tee shirt from the same place where you buy all of your apparel is like ordering from the same store you are going to when you buy other items that will last for years.
Cotton T-shirts are not the same material as an average man’s T-shirt, and they are not made to be durable either. The better option is to invest in an older piece of clothing, and wear it every day. With the proper care, it will last for years, even without being washed.
It’s great to learn that cotton is a great material for children’s clothes because they’re comfortable. My wife and I are wanting to start a family soon and we were wondering what kind of clothing we can get for the kids that they would love.
