Top Tips For Choosing Business Casual Womens Shirts

Womens shirts are so much more versatile than you would think. You can find a great range of designs that are suitable for business casual or formal occasions and even some that have the slightly mysterious touch of an evening dress. You can easily get away with wearing them in the office (if you work there) or out for lunch with friends (although if you choose a dressier top, it may not always be appropriate for lunch). But what about wearing them to the office?

The thing about business casual clothing is that it can be worn in many different situations. It is important to pick what you pair it with carefully though. Look for something a bit more fitted and flattering so that it looks as if you are trying not to be present at all. Don’t forget that the days when wearing these types of shirts was considered unfashionable are long gone!

One of the first things to consider is colour. Most business casual shirts are black or white; although you may find other colours being used. These days you are less likely to find your colleagues exchanging business cards with you – but don’t assume this! You can wear bright reds and pinks, if that’s what suits you can opt for something quieter, like a charcoal grey. There are so many different shades and tones available these days that you really can look stylish regardless of your complexion.

When choosing a top, you need to decide whether you want something that is buttoned up or down. Although these types of shirts look extremely casual, they can also be formal looking if they are not properly maintained. If you are choosing shirts to be worn with a suit then it is probably best to choose a style with buttons; although this isn’t always the case. A plain or off the shoulder shirt will make you look much more formal and if you opt for the buttons then ensure that they are the right size and that the buttons aren’t too big or loose.

Another important thing to think about is the material. There are two main materials to think about when choosing tops for business casual occasions – denim and cotton. Whilst denim is still a popular choice it is also prone to wrinkles, so you may prefer a more stylish option such as a cotton shirt. Cotton shirts are far more durable than denim so if you get a good quality cotton shirt, it should last you for quite a while.

Another advantage to choosing cotton over denim is that they are easier to wash and care for. Unlike jeans, which can wear out after just a couple of washes, cotton shirts can last for much longer. Also, they are far more suitable for all weather conditions. For example, a cotton T-shirt doesn’t get wet from rain or the pool because it is made from natural fibre.

The third factor you need to consider when choosing a top for business casual is whether the top will look good with your trousers. This is an important consideration as not all casual tops or T-shirts will look appropriate with the type of trousers you are wearing. If you have chosen a casual T-shirt with a business suit then you will probably want to choose a different top. For example, it wouldn’t look appropriate to wear a V-necked shirt with khaki trousers.

Womens shirts can be made in a variety of different styles. These include tank tops, cardigans, crew neck and many others. You can find great deals online if you shop around a bit. The key to making any top look great is to choose one that is flattering and the right size. It is also wise to choose tops that go with a wide variety of pants in your wardrobe. This way you can wear them interchangeably and you will always look stylish and smart.
